"Bad experience from start to finish. I booked this journey a week ahead of time because I was worried about drivers being available over the Christmas period. Then on Christmas Eve, 2 days before my booking, at 7am, 7:30am, 8am (an unreasonable time in the morning to call anyone, let alone on a holiday) I was getting phone calls stating that the taxi company would charge me extra because the saloon car I’d booked wouldn’t accommodate 3 people or 3 suitcases. After a tense discussion where I stated that I got a quote for a car to drive 3 people and 3 suitcases and it was their responsibility to find me a car to suit the requirements that I’d given at the start at the quote given. Finally that was agreed to and then come Boxing Day the car was nowhere to be seen after 5 minutes of my booking time - I rang the taxi company - at first they didn’t seem to have any recollection of my booking. Then when I said I’d booked through Taxicode he said that the driver was 5 minutes away. He wasn’t. After another phone call - I was given a song and dance about the driver going to a different pick up and now he was 10 minutes away. Tried calling the driver he hung up. Half an hour later, several annoying phone calls later- the driver finally arrived. As this was a trip to the airport - punctuality is critical - and there was no traffic on the roads so that couldn’t even be an excuse. When I spoke to the driver he said that he’d only been booked in that morning (about 5 minutes after I’d called!!!!!) Never using this service again! Absolutely appalling and rude and unapologetic on the phone."
